Who You Are We are looking for a residential Construction Superintendent with experience in the residential home building field.
As a traveling Construction Superintendent, you will be accountable for the entire residential home construction project from mobilization to completion, by providing the knowledge, skill and hands on experience to run day-to-day operations on the job site.
The Construction Superintendent's top priority is field coordination, working closely with the subcontractors to ensure that they are always focused on quality and workmanship that meet industry standards.
The daily direction and coordination of the project by the superintendent ensures that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget and on schedule.
What You Will Work On Oversee all site construction productivity Schedule and oversee subcontractors to ensure adherence to schedule and critical path items Work with the Production and Purchasing Coordinators to ensure schedules are up to date and purchase orders are in place before work is started Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans Main point of contact with the client for construction issues to be resolved at the site level Take a proactive approach to understand needs/issues that may arise on the project and collaborate with the production team to offer solutions Provide guidance & input to the production team for all construction issues or changes that will affect scope, schedule or budget of the construction contracts Develop additional tools and refine processes to help all projects run effectively Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and best practices Review building codes and requirements as they pertain to each jurisdiction Assist in completion of close-out packages, customer walk thru, and punch-lists Ability to review construction documents and provide feedback related to constructability Review and comment on change orders and deviations from construction documents in the field Ensure building/sites are protected and the project areas are always clean Physical Requirements/Work Environment The work is performed at the project site and requires travel May be required to perform physical labor; at times, carry up to 50lbs and assist others in carrying objects greater than 50lbs Qualifications 5 years residential construction experience Be able to interpret construction drawings and specifications Success at managing and delivering construction projects on schedule and under budget Ability to analyze project scenarios and implement site-specific design modifications Great attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills that will ensure deadlines are met Ability to support multiple projects/tasks and balance conflicting project needs Ability to work proactively and independently with minimum supervision Resourceful, proactive, assertive, detail oriented, and energetic Must have a friendly people person disposition and be able to connect with customers Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Experience with software systems such as MarkSystems is a plus Willingness to learn and adapt to working on a team in a fast-paced environment Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license The ability to pass a drug screening The starting salary for this position is$80,000.
Actual compensation will be based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set and level of relevant experience.
