Summary:
Accessia Health is currently seeking an Accountant who will directly report to the VP.
Finance & Administration.
The Accountant is responsible for Accessia Health's accounts receivable and state filing requirements.
This role will assist with maintaining an accurate general ledger, month-end close, year-end audits, and accounts payable.
Salary:
This role has a target salary of $55,000 to $65,000 annually, based upon various factors including location, experience, and education.
Core Job
Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate processing of Accounts Receivable.
Process and distribute invoices monthly, quarterly, and on requestAccurately post cash receiptsAssist various departments with status of the donations, collections, and related informationTrack and acknowledge donationsCompile and distribute weekly A/R aging reportEnsures compliance with all State and Local mandated filing requirements.
Monitor changes and maintain compliance with State, and Local filing requirementsGather financial data to prepare state filing documentsCoordinate with Registered Agent to retain compliance in all statesComplete US Census and Department of Labor inquiriesEnsures monthly close is completed by the established deadline.
Prepare and post journal entries, reconciling journal entries and any requests for general ledger adjustments by the ControllerPrepare account reconciliationsMaintain and update Fixed AssetsTrack and maintain prepaid expenses and amortizationPerform and post indirect expense allocationsAssists with year-end audits.
Assist with preparation of year-end financial and program auditsClose and validate fiscal periods in the financial accounting systemOther functions and duties as directed by the Controller and VP, Finance and Administration.
Serve as backup for Accounts PayableRecord investment income; scan and file investment statementsCompile data to be used for financial analysisOther duties as directedDesired Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, government funding, non-profit or related fieldKnowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledgerStrong attention to detailEffective organizational and communication skillsProficiency with Excel and other job-related programs and softwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter preferredEssential Traits:

The ability to maintain accuracy and precision in processing accounts receivable, posting cash receipts, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing invoices, tracking donations, compiling financial data, and ensuring compliance with filing requirements.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with various departments, coordinating with registered agents, and assisting with year-end audits.
Analytical Abilities:
The capacity to analyze financial data, prepare financial statements, and assist with financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency with Excel and accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, is required.
Additionally, knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes is essential for this role.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
