Our client is in need of an experienced Expediter for a long term contract assignment. The primary role of the Expediter is to support the Procurement department with activities related to on time delivery and costing activities. Will monitor the flow of information and purchased goods to ensure procurements processes meet defined requirements regarding quality, delivery, timeliness and efficiency.
Collect and maintain supplier order acknowledgements and quotations in SAP
Perform the maintenance of Procurement documents and contracts files
Interface with requisitioners and suppliers to provide information on order status
Interface with Transportation Department on the delivery status of goods
Review supplier quotations upon receipt and request any clarifications and/or missing information from buyers and/or suppliers as needed/requested; Enter quotes
Assist with qualifying suppliers as needed. Send qualification documents to suppliers. Identify and correct (or have corrected) any deficiencies in returned documents.
Run expediting reports. Contact suppliers to confirm delivery dates and tracking information
Provides and request information from supply management and suppliers as applicable and conducts analyses and might participate in negotiations with supliers.
Support the Procurement & Logistics team by expediting deliveries and to assist buyers to achieve on-time delivery goals.
Develop, maintain, and utilize computerized expediting reports to ensure on time delivery of goods
Participate in process improvement projects
High School diploma or GED. Formal professional technical/business education not required, but desired.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a procurement and logistics related work, including dealing with suppliers.
Basic negotiation and legal skills.
High degree of flexibility in dealing with frequently changing customer requirements
Proficient PC and database skills to include MS Word and Excel. Experience with SAP desired.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and manage time effectively.
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills in interacting with external and inernal customers.
Ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
High degree of teamwork
High degree of ownership and initiative to achieve high customer satisfaction

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
