Our client is searching for an experienced Supplier Quality Specialist. This position is responsible for performing on site project quality functions, including parts tracking database management. In addition, this position will be called upon to support Supplier Qualifications, Assessments and Source Inspection activities in accordance with Supplier Quality Management guidelines. In addition, this position will interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product conformity; Is required to recognize areas requiring process improvement and skilled in methods of facilitating process improvement techniques, quality training and procedure development; Will provide quality program guidance, training and implementation measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction; Shall be liaison supporting quality management requirements with Engineering: Supply Chain Management; Parts & Logistics and Suppliers. This position requires approximately 50 to 70% travel.
Responsibilities:
Under limited direction, perform quality assurance assignments including but not limited to Product/System Audits and validation of controlled processes.
Perform assessments of client Suppliers Quality Management Program to ensure compliance to clients requirements.
Compile technical data according to the purchase order, engineering drawings, and specifications in preparation of product verification source inspection.
Utilize blueprints, drawings, procedures, inspection and test plans to validate product conformance.
Coordinate travel arrangements for supplier assessment and source inspection.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of inspection results.
Prepare quality reports for internal and external use.
Liaison between clients Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Suppliers to ensure smooth transactions regarding product quality; timely Nonconformance Reporting and Disposition; scheduling and process improvement.
Identify Nonconformance, suggests methods for correction and follow-up and verify corrective action implementation and effectiveness.
Issue Supplier and project site Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective Actions Requests.
Periodically audit documentation for correctness and accuracy - I&T Plan; supplier documentation, etc.
Work on Supplier Quality Assessment Teams to resolve specific concerns or problem areas.
Create and/or revise procedures for Supplier Quality Management System.
Perform work following all safety policies and procedures.
Provide technical quality information, explanation and training for suppliers and assist in the planning and execution of projects in regards to quality/site manufacturing. Taking into consideration both product quality and cost containment through process improvement.
May direct and train others as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS Industrial Engineering or similar field. Will consider relevant experience equivalent to BS degree.
Experience with document control, management and distribution.
5-8 years Quality Assurance experience desired.
Auditing experience (supplier or own organization) preferred.
Organizational skills, process improvement required.
Superior Computer skills including database creation and programming required.
Good communication skills required.
Ability to travel 50 70%.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
