Our client is searching for an Expediter to support the Procurement department with activities related to on time delivery and costing activities. Will monitor the flow of information and purchased goods to ensure procurements processes meet defined requirements regarding quality, delivery, timeliness and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Confirms defined schedules are in line with contractual dates.
Follows up and monitors the timely delivery of purchased goods from selected suppliers.
Ensures all contractual documents referenced for a purchase order are obtained, updated and maintained on time.
Reports non-conformances, and follows up their resolution in Team with Engineering and Buyer.
Provides early-warning of potential schedule delays, anticipates and mitigates risks and initiates measures to ensure contract obligations are met.
Provides and requests information from supply management and suppliers as applicable and conducts analyses and might participate in negotiations with suppliers.
Monitors all information relative to negotiated terms and conditions, contracts, compliance with legal requirements and the company policy. Resolves or assists in resolving claims, disputes and other issues.
Identifies areas for improvement regarding process improvements to optimize quality, cost, delivery and customer satisfaction.
Applies and adheres to external regulations as well as company internal standards, instructions,
guidelines and policies.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Formal professional technical/business education not required, but desired.
Experience in a procurement and logistics related work, including dealing with suppliers.
Basic negotiation and legal skills.
High degree of flexibility in dealing with frequently changing customer requirements
Proficient PC and database skills to include MS Word and Excel. Experience with SAP desired.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and manage time effectively.
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills in interacting with external and internal customers.
Ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
High degree of teamwork
High degree of ownership and initiative to achieve high customer satisfaction

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
