Plant Support Center Front End Engineer Team Lead

Duties: Provide operational technical support for ALSTOM gas turbines and plant equipment. Research, design, evaluate, help operate, and maintain equipment, systems, and processes, applying knowledge of engineering principles; recommend modifications to eliminate malfunctions; provide analysis and recommendations related to plant support issues; ensure that problems which cannot be solved at the 1st level support, are escalated in time and in line with the work instructions to Plant Support Center expert level support; manage work flow and ensure that all relevant personnel are informed; act to the new Early Warning triggered and addressed to site by the Monitoring and Diagnostics Systems and assess the pending Early Warnings handed over from the previous shift; inform management about potential improvements in processes and tools; assign and track problems on daily basis and ensure support is provided to customer in time and in quality; review processes and decisions that may have significant impact on future business and customer relations; and develop and implement measures and processes to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include: experience with gas turbines/gas turbine power plants (commissioning experience on GT or Generator or Electrical Equipment or Water Steam Cycle); experience working with gas turbine components, auxiliary systems, controls and instrumentation; knowledge of gas turbines process, hardware and operational behaviour; knowledge of power plants; experience working in a power plant setting; and experience interpreting and predicting gas turbine behaviour, operation and performance. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States
